For Productions Payment Support
Many pay queries on set relate to Haircut Supplements, Meal Penalties and Firearm Supplements. They can take a bit of time to untangle later and often create extra admin for everyone.
A few simple checks on the day can help avoid these queries — especially helpful for Crowd PAs or anyone newer to managing crowd on set.
Avoid common pay queries. We're here to help.

Logistics ManagerTo make sure anyone who has a haircut gets their supplement, we advise artistes to mention it when they sign-out. When things get busy it's easy to lose track, so keeping a list in Hair & Make-Up and adding names as haircuts happen can help make sure no one is missed.
We encourage artistes to request any meal penalties they feel are due when they sign out.
It's helpful if production can confirm whether the day is a Standard Day or a Continuous Working Day (CWD). If it is a CWD, artistes can be advised that meal penalties do not apply. Where possible, this could be shared with the Project Manager before the filming day or mentioned in holding at the start of the day.

Artistes sometimes request a supplement for handling a weapon. Under the FAA agreement, this only applies if an artiste is required to fire a gun discharging blank ammunition under supervision.
Production or the armourer can usually confirm this when weapons are issued.
