Don’t Neglect the Basics
When you sign up with us, everything you add builds your Casting Collective profile. That profile, which sits within your Artiste Organiser, is how we match you to productions, so keeping it up to date gives you the best chance of being put forward.
If anything changes — hairstyle, tattoos, contact details — log in to your Organiser and update your profile straight away.
Keep your photos current
Your photos should always reflect how you look right now. If you get a haircut, grow your hair out, shave your beard or grow one, make sure you replace your three main photos (headshot, full length and smart photo). For many productions, particularly period projects, hair length can be one of the key deciding factors.
Upload a selfie
When we send an Availability Request email, we’ll usually ask for a current selfie. This gives the production team confidence when confirming bookings. Without one, we may not be able to put you forward — even if you fit the brief perfectly.
Update your measurements
If your measurements change, update them on your profile so you don’t miss out on suitable roles. For productions set within a particular time period, most artistes will be fitted into costume. Accurate measurements help costume departments plan fittings efficiently and ensure you are considered for the right opportunities.
Add new skills and experience
If you learn a new skill that you’re confident performing on camera, or gain new on-set experience such as Doubling or Standing In for a cast member, add it to your profile straight away.
When our bookers are asked to find a Stand In or Double, they will first check who already has relevant experience listed.
We also receive frequent requests for Special Action (SPACT) performers. If you are highly trained in areas such as stunts, martial arts, acrobatics or military drill, make sure this is clearly included on your profile. It could open the door to opportunities you might otherwise miss.
