At the Casting Collective, we collect your personal data in order to fulfill our aim of providing fast and efficient background casting for the film, television, commercial, and photographic industries. This Privacy Policy provides information for production professionals (‘you’) on what personal data we collect and how we use it.

What data do we collect?

When we start working with you to provide supporting artistes for your production, we collect your personal data to enable us to get in touch and manage your enquiry. For example, we’ll ask for:

  • Your name.
  • Your job title or role.
  • Your business email address, contact number, and postal address.
  • Details of the production or company that you work for.

This data is used to manage our relationship with you and to enter into and fulfil our contract with you.

We also collect and process the information you provide when you choose to participate in feedback or service surveys, and this is for the purpose of improving our services.

Providing you with details of potential Artistes for your Production and other services under the Registration Terms and Conditions.

  • (Where you are self-employed) It is necessary to perform our contract with you (e.g. contacting you about Artistes).
  • We have a relevant legal or regulatory obligation.
  • We have an appropriate business need to use your information, and that use does not overly prejudice you (e.g. managing our business operations).

We will not collect or use your special category data.

Providing you with services under the Production Agreement, including Artistes for your Production and payment services.

Who has access to your data?

  • Your data is available only to Casting Collective employees who have a business need for the information and who are required to keep it strictly confidential.
  • Elements of your data may sometimes be shared with our suppliers who assist us in conducting our business (for example, our accountants), who will always be required to maintain confidentiality and follow data protection law.
  • We may also release information when it is appropriate to comply with the law (for example, for tax purposes).

We will never sell or share any of your details with any third party organisation for marketing purposes.

How long do we keep your data?

We will not retain your personal data longer than necessary. We store your data while you are actively using Casting Collective services, and if you cease to use our services, your data may be held for a period of up to 7 years.
